What’s the break up of that 500GB? How much is docs, pix, & vids? If majority of it is pix, then flickr will be all you need. Have you checked out Amazon S3? if all 500GB are really that important, S3 might be worth it. Seems to be ~$75+/month, depending on how often you access those data.
