Notice that there is some kind of mast near or on top of that house. You can see it from most directions on google maps. Could that be a local cell tower? Can there be a cell tower in a residential neighborhood?[/quote]
Yes…there’s one nearby torrey hills park in CV, near the torrey hills elementary, though it’s sort of off farther away.
Actually, there’s more cell phone towers in most new neighbhorhoods than you think…You just don’t see them, because they are usually hidden in a fake fascade (fake tree, fake wall fascade, etc). How else do you think you get good cell reception in areas where the terrain looks spotty?
Don’t worry, there plenty of folks that work in the labs with cell stations/power antenna blasting in the labs like the Q for the past 10-15 years…..probably exposed to more power than these cell towers in residential areas. More or less of just an eye sore. You should probably be more concerned about holding a cell phone to your ear for 1-2 hours each day more so than what you are exposed from the tower.
Referring to the picture…That “mast” (if you’re referring to what’s on the left side) looks more like a HVAC pole than a cell phone tower, based on its shape. You also see two lines running off of it, suggesting it’s power lines. That thin pole on the right side looks more like a broadcast antenna than cell tower…
