Are you sure you dont belong in 2010 Taurus SHO, with top safety record (borrowed from Volvo S80) that we discussing in IIHS video results?
Only 365HP, but a kickass cruiser for the family?
I was only considering a GM car (or Ford for that matter) if it were firesale price….And there are only a few GM’s that I’d consider even at firesale prices (Vette, Caddy CTS Spec V, and Holden err Pontiac G8)…My only interest in the G8 is like unlike other Pontiac products, this one doesn’t stink…Namely, because it isn’t really a Pontiac…It’s an car made in Australia built by Australian labor…GM North America didn’t molest it too much, except for the ugly front end (which is fixable by reverting it back to a Holden…)
Unfortunately, most dealers I’ve called is still expecting MSRP minus the standard $3k discount…That’s roughly $35k for a G8.
Um, no thank you. Especially with a discontinued brand and a dangerously close BK company. Looks like I’ll keep my deposits on Audi and BMW.
Now I know why GM is having so much problems. Dealers are just completely unrealistic. There’s over 15 GXP’s available in SoCal sitting on lots (which shouldn’t be the case for a limited/in demand car). There’s too many to count G8 GT’s on SoCal lots. And this seems to be much worse than reports that say Pontiac dealers have 3months of inventory (In SoCal, it’s worse, because of our propensity to not buy domestic)…. And yet dealers aren’t budging for much below MSRP minus the $3k GM rebate. My email reply to dealers?…Two links, 4 words and a happy face…
