Elementary:
(in no particular ranking across districts)
Del Mar Unified: Sage Canyon(CV) followed by Torrey Hills Elementary(CV): surprise surprise…not.
Poway Unified: Creekside followed by Deer Canyon
RSF: RSF elementary did well (only 1 elementary in district)
Carlsbad: Pacific Rim followed by Kelly
Encinitas: El Camino Creek followed by Olvenhain
San Diego Unified: Birdrock, Dingeman
Solana Beach: Solana Pacific(This is actually in Carmel Valley), Carmel Creek
For practical consideration, the top elementaries in poway are on par with the top schools from carmel valley (as it’s reputation is known to be a top scoring district)…dispelling the myths that poway schools are somehow “not the same as carmel valley”…though it appears all carmel valley elementary did well , versus more variability in poway unified for elementary.
Solana Beach, Carlesbad, RSF, and Encinitas also had a plethora of top performing elementary schools as well as San Diego Unified (though the later covers a wide range of schools in various regions in SD).
What do these scores mean??? Absolutely nothing. You could send your kid to a top performing school, and your kid can still be an idiot 🙂 Just kidding…
