I’ve given up trying to master the Queen’s English.
American English (“American” for short in my book) is much easier to master…Plus I’m much more accustomed to see things spelled “or” instead of “our”….(IE colour, flavour, por favour….)
Technically,
taiwanese and mandarin are two different languages. The former language has it’s roots in the Minnan dialect. The latter language will get you further.
