Second, I’m not proud at all to be ‘protecting’ US Dollars. Granted, I too can see that dollars are trash.
What I’m talking about here is my 6 month EMERGENCY cash.
All (most) of the other contingency items you mentioned before are already covered.
P.S. It pains me to admit those words – that I don’t trust US dollars. I bet that I have paid more blood, sweat, and tears than you have to defend the ‘In God We Trust’ on each of our dollars.
