Don’t know if this problem was mentioned, but once you go over a certain amount of usage the cost per kilowatt hour goes up. This may be happening more than once in your case. I am not sure how many brackets there are but I believe at least one trigger exists and it doesn’t take much energy use to exceed it, as I recall.
