does this interesting cartoon make the case for ruin, or contradict the case? After all, the cartoon is ostensibly from ~75 years in the past, and clearly we were not in ruin the entire 75 years, so something must have happened.
If we think things are cyclical and the period T is 79 yrs (crash 1929 + 79 = crash 2008), then our nemesis of convenience
– failed to grab power by force in 2002
– will be elected in 2011
– will invade poland 2017
– will face our forces starting in 2020
(Yay! end of downturn)
– will eat his pistol in 2024
Unless the US is the new UK, in which case we will suffer heavy bombardment from 2019 – 2020, and *China’s* entry into the war saves us.
