C’mon, Perry; what about the world’s largest democracy, India? I vaguely remember that the were a British colony. They seem to be doing rather well today, despite (because?) of 1-5.
Same with those other British colonies, Canada, Australia, and the U.S.
Africa and the Palestinians need firm colonialism for a long, long time, until the Western roots really take hold. Bring back the protectorates, ’cause the natives ain’t capable of home rule.
I’ll let davelj argue with you about whether Africans today are better off than they were under colonialism. He seems to think that things are bad there, today.
