I like filter frame, but your husband’s input is also very possible .
Someone on the archery blog said it was an electrical element of some sort…for an oven I think.
Looks like a short circuit to me. Could have some special metals or compounds in the field wire, with some resistance in them but it doesn’t look like it. If it does maybe it could be an element from a lighthouse bulb or some other big bulb.
