Cardiff: Fallbrook has a very interesting mix of demographics, both social and monetary. The youth football teams I coach have a mix of wealthy, middle class and poor kids, as well as whites, Mexicans, blacks and Indians (Native American, sorry). These kids all get along with one another, regardless of ethnicity or class, and there are NO issues regarding race. They freely joke with one another about each other’s race, but it’s in fun and generally is done because it horrifies the PC parents (and there are many).
The racial issues don’t really emerge until high school and, unfortunately, it is bad, especially at Fallbrook HS.
Kids really don’t seem to care all that much and deal with these things with greater ease and aplomb than their parents do.
