Can anyone comment on attendance levels at Sea World, Zoo etc.,Good indicators of disposable cash. A big chunk of visitors come on I-5 south.
Funny you should ask. I was just at the zoo today. It was packed. Could be that the weather was nice, or that because nearby there was an antique auto show around Balboa…BUT, the zoo had enough people such that if you wanted to take a tram or bus, you had to wait in line for awhile. And the panda line was ridiculously long too.
It could be that there are just a lot of tourists too, so I'm not sure if the Zoo is a great indication. What was more disturbing is the number of people that bought a regular admission ticket and not the membership, considering membership gives you two regular admissions tickets on top of membership, and members get unlimited admissions.
I didn't go to seaworld. Though I have membership there as well, parking is not free (for me at least), and at $8/pop each time, it's really not worth it for me considering my 2 year old can last maybe about 2 hours tops before she wants to go home. I'll just need to wait until more visiting friends want to go.
