Why not focus on the REALTOR wife who probably told him that “everybody else is doing this and getting away with it…they can’t do anything to us.”
Of course, he should be held to a high standard as a police officer, but what about her? She’s the one involved in real estate on a day-to-day basis. I’m not sure why they’re just focusing on him. Hopefully, she will lose her job as well…but we all know that won’t happen.
This is exactly what I’m talking about in the “public servant” threads when I say that public employees are held to a higher standard. People in private industry have been trashing their (soon to be foreclosed) houses for years; it’s only because of his job in public service that he’s being torn apart in the media.
HUH? He’s a sworn officer of the law and has a responsibility to uphold it. Of course he is held to a different standard. She’ll get her’s also but he’ll still get his pension benefits even if he gets fired. Realtors can’t be fired because unlike public servants they dont have jobs. With very few exceptions we are self employed independent contractors. Every January 1st we wake up to a new year with absolutely nothing and have to make it happen again.
