A military coup. Maybe it’s already happened and we missed it.
just seems to me that if you’re suspicious enough about the gov to encourage heavy gun ownership, you’d be suspicious of the largest part of the govt, the military, and the possibility that they may be taking over, covertly or overtly, our nation’s wealth.
while it’s true that some men rob you with a fountain pen, and some men rob you with a gun, some men do actually rob with guns…maybe the military is not pure in heart.
Agreed. And as someone who fully supports the right to own guns, I’m very wary about those who control our military. And, no, I don’t think that the people we elect are really the ones in control…even those whom we elect are pre-selected for us.
im afraid no one is in control. that it all moves of its own accord. as thoughtlessly as a soldier who actually believes he is serving his country by volunteering for our wars. and we perpetuate the unthinkingness by thanking him for not thinking. and so the whole thing is done as reflexively as a knee jerk from a doctor’s hammer. the nation’s military mindlessly following mondless orders directed from a mindless president following the will of mindless minions armed to the teeth with untinkable firepower for no purpose other than the fact that it is a rifle hanging upon the wall..
