oh, another thing, flu, a while back, I read a novel by an Chinese-American author (can’t remember her name) about growing up a New York tenement apartment with no hot water.
It used to be that an FOB was one with greasy hair and smelling of egg-rolls and chop-suey.
The new FOB decked out in Louis Vuitton and Chanel and driving a Bimmer has come a long way, baby.
I really have to go, but when I said fob and fobby, I was exactly referring to the “new look” that looks like a walking advertisement for Tiffany’s and the “new attitude” (snooty)…
It is entirely possible to completely go overboard. And many people have proven that it is entirely possible to spend a lmoney yetot of money and yet still dress completely tacky….which imho is a lot worse than someone who just dresses down and well, you know down to earth.
Just remember, there’s a favorite Abecrombie t-shirt, that sort of makes me laugh that I see some people wear…It says “You better make more than I can spend”
And seriously, do you think all those people carrying around LV bags are really carrying the real thing?
