You may not sell your house, but your not selling your house doesn’t preserve its value.
It’s the other sellers who affect your asset value.
Also, as we have seen, it’s doesn’t take guns to get sellers to abandon ship. It’s just takes dwindling bank account balances.
Oh fess up.. You’re just pissed that at the current price levels in areas like MM, there is demand that is supporting the current prices and that prices don’t going to crater further in the short term as you would like it to happen. You’re probably as pissed that there are sideline people jumping in right now and are looking to try to rationalize why staying out as long as you did is good thing.
Just kidding. 🙂 See, it’ so easy to jump to conclusions on others. Hey, if you really think home prices will fall further, no need to worry about it. It will happen.
Just curious though, do you think it would be worth it to rent say another 10 years, only to see a slow trick price decline of say 10% over that period? ( Not saying participating in these bidding wars would be a good thing right now. )
