Totally agree with this. Lets look at it another way, if Gates and Jobs are 1 in 100 million, type of people, US have 300M people, so there are 3 of them. Many 1 in 100M will China & India yield when they have a combined of about 3B people?

Yes and no, it depends on the profession. a PhD in animal psychology is probably not going to make that much money while a AA degree as a RN would probably make more.
