Takes years….I had a H1-B friend..And she made a pretty off-humor comment…”At this rate (H1-B application status), I’d probably get my green card sooner by going into mexico, crossing the boarder illegally, and then qualifying for amnesty under the other naturalization route…..Plus I wouldn’t have had to pay all the federal, state, and social security income taxes throughout the years”….
