Apple needs more competition. Subsidized price of the Android and Win7 handsets should be lower (not the same) as the iPhone to steal market share from Apple.

Fyi, android already surpassed iPhone globally and they nipping on iPhone numbers in the US. Dropped my 3gs for a nexus one 6 months ago and never looked back. The 3gs is sitting there collecting dust right now. Also, you can get plenty of android phones for free during black Friday.
