Not free. It will be charged to the country’s credit card and public debt will increase.
In these times of economic uncertainly, the government needs to spend in order to make up for the fall in consumer spending. The government needs to spend to make-up for increased household savings and tighter consumer credit.
I think that it’s better to go into debt for universal health care than it is for war and bank bailouts.[/quote]
