Brian: You’re correct about the overly sweet, salty, etc options. Going to McDonalds when I was a kid was a BIG deal. Not anymore. I know kids that eat at McDonalds 3x to 4x per week. And the portion sizes when I was a kid were much smaller, especially the fries and soda. I see 12yo kids wolfing down burgers that are much larger, bigger orders of fries and chasing that with 32oz sodas. You do that 3x to 4x a week and there’s little wonder that you have fat kids.
I don’t disagree with your comments on training and eating at the table. The only problems are that mom and dad both work full time jobs, Mickey D’s is cheap and filling and the table is inside the restaurant.
