Yes I agree wholeheartedly though I never thought of it with that much depth. My thoughts are more related to the fact that all RE is so high profile here relative to most places that it is so front and center on peoples minds. Where I grew up people have just as much if not more money and are far more materialistic but when it comes to housing people dont move around much. If they want more they expand or remodel or just go on more vacations. In SoCal I see people move up in the same neighborhood which I never saw back east.
