BG, you might want to ask teachers about those after-school programs. While they certainly help working parents by giving them a lower-cost option, most teachers would not want to put their own kids in those programs (unless it’s for a short time, and they are at the same school site…which is just a matter of convenience). These programs are not superior to a parent’s care in any way, nor are they better than most of the more expensive care options that most professional parents would choose.
