I beg to differ, jstoesz. MH IS full of retirees, many with small mortgages. 30% of a $3500 monthly retirement income is $1050 per month. If this is PITI, remember Prop 13?? I would surmise that many MH homes are close to being paid off by now, if not already paid off.[/quote]
The numbers I listed to not show that there are more people with paid off homes in the MH tract than the Minneapolis tract. Maybe there are more retirees with paid off homes there, but I doubt it. If there were, there would be a fewer percentage of households putting more than 30% towards housing costs. It is just the numbers…
