[quote=as]Flu, you are right. Their words are as light as feather. I tried to confirm with him this morning and here is his reply. He changed his original promise.
“I was able to get the General Manager to agree to the $14000.00 Plus Tax & Lic. on the 2009 Corolla LE’s, but because half the inventory had a price increase, only the cars with a Stock number under 291526 are eliegble (that’s about ten units) all others would be at $14425.00. That’s still a great price its just that Toyota is not shipping any more 2009s and the Corolla is selling quite well.
Check our inventory at http://www.toyotaofelcajon.com look up any New 2009 Corolla LE with a MSRP of $18314.00. All units with Stock # under 291527 $14000.00 all units Stock # over 291527 $14425.00.”

As,
You’re doing too much over the phone. Try again in with the LA dealers. Seriously. No offense, it seems like you come across to salesguys as someone that they can push around, so just do it over emails.
Look, speak in terms of the option codes for the LE.
When you email someone, write in their terms you want an LE with options code XX,YY,ZZ.
Your mistake after emailing them was that you called them back. You should just reply to the email and get everything in writing. Leave a paper trail. Etc. You can’t just have them write “LE with airconditioning”. They are speaking in such vague terms, because unfortunately toyota has so many different options. Ask them (again via email) to list the actual options code.
Let me ask you this, what options code are you getting?
