Arraya: Not PC hooey at all, and you’re absolutely right. The military, specifically the Army and Marines, have done a shit poor job in dealing with Post Traumatic Stress and suicide, especially amongst those with multiple deployments and their SOF forces.
It is improving and, sadly, the CO of Ft. Hood was one of those commanders that was doing good work with programs designed to ease and aid combat stress.
These events are morale killers, but this one was worse, due to the blowback that Muslim soldiers will undoubtedly face following this.
