You’re right. It’s bad to cause unnecessary suffering. I was blinded by my hatred of rats.
How much suffering is involved w rat poison? I’d imagine it’s similar to a glue board for pain, probably not panic. Would you want to punch a guy laying out Ray poison stations? What if they’re not in buildings just doing their rat thing out of doors? Why not use the least suffering model available, set snap traps everywhere?
Can rat panic distress other rats and cause them to vacate
I think of the glue traps as an adjunct trap though, like if they’re not fooled by the traps maybe the glue will work. Also in my case the glue and snap were both part of cause of death.
They are pretty grim though, I’d say, we treat each other worse.
Ido think a public fight I’d more likely to break out over public mistreatment of an animal than of a human. Perhaps that’s as it should be.
I am more irritated with rats now that I have a mortgage than when I was renting. Eff it if he chews up the landlords wiring, so be it. Now I have more if a take no prisoners approach. I am not too worried about the rats feelings. Perhaps I should consider them.
