And the door is open for football talk……for the second half of the season, that pats have had some close calls and even though they are clearly the best team, there are chinks in the armor that mediocre teams are finding ways to get up on them or give them a game. I am switching my odds of the pats going 19-0 from 80% to 50%. In the last six weeks they beat the Ravens, Eagles and Giants by only a field goal (only the giants are even going to the playoffs). Their road to perfection still has some better teams than those three in the way, in fact every game from here on in for them will be against better teams. It seems every team wants to beat them, even if they don’t win the superbowl, knocking off the pats will give them something to be proud of and emotion is huge in football, that’s why “home field advantage” applies more to football than any other sport.
S.D. I’m afraid the chargers will face the titans because the colts are banged up and will only give the titans half a game. I think it’s a good thing, the brownies are the cinderella story this year, they are the 2007 rockies, facing karma like that can be a bad thing, ask the padres. Allan I’ll agree that the colts are every bit as good as the pats but if they rest their starters or only play a few series it will doom them. The Pats put it all out there tonight and in two weeks it will come back to them, but I think three weeks is tooo long for these guys to be away from the game and I blame the Chargers slow start on Norm sitting everyone in the pre season.
