Allan, the reason I’m not “up” on the presidential candidates is because I really don’t care that much anymore. I’m probably going to vote democrat because as stated earlier I’m not inclined to agree with the interests of the Republican party at this time. That may change in the future, to what extent I don’t know. I will never be 100% behind the philosophy of such a party.
Re: guns. This is a topic I feel very strongly about, so I will address it. Guns are dangerous weapons. They are designed with one purpose in mind and that is to kill people. Therefore I’m against the common citizen owning a gun. The majority of individuals in the United States don’t have the cognitive ability to be responsible with such a weapon. Why would I want such a dangerous weapon in the hands of an idiot when I, and the people I care about are walking around on this planet. Having a gun in the house is the same as having a bomb in the house. It is very dangerous.
There are certain circumstances that I find acceptable: when someone’s life has been threatened; someone lives in a very, dangerous neighborhood that is prone to break-ins; Or maybe even a single woman living alone. In those circumstances, I would not condone allowing the aforementioned to have a gun unless they go through rigorous training on the safty and use of said gun.
I don’t ever think a gun should be kept in a house where there are children around. If someone has a gun cabinet in their house, with various guns, etc. I consider that person a paranoid freak. That’s what the law is for. Let the police carry guns. 911 is very fast nowadays.
Allan, I’d like to know why you think it’s your constitutional right to own/have a gun in your possession? Is it your constitutional right to use and sell drugs too? How about paying women for sex?
