Arraya: Which “load” are we talking about? Are you talking about from a military and security standpoint, like the UN or NATO? If so, I have to be the first to point out that that setup doesn’t work so well, as evidenced by Rwanda, Somalia, the Balkans, etc.
NATO is absolutely useless, as Afghanistan has made us painfully aware and the UN is even worse (see above examples for how truly worthless the “fighting” forces of Holland, India, Pakistan are, not to mention Germany or Italy).[/quote]
That maybe so Allan, and I don’t totally disagree.
However, there is a matter of cost to running the machine. Which is directly tied to the global financial structure, dollar-centric world and oil. Which are all under great pressure. We haven’t been able to afford our country for decades.
I think this is seen as a combination of a concession and structure change towards more stability.
