All very good point. A couple of rebuttal, the super smart students tend to have free ride from those Universities. The students from rich family can easily afford it. It’s only those that are barely smart enough to get in but not exceptional enough to get scholarship that need to reconsider. Research universities are good for undergrads who wants to go on to grad school and potentially Ph.D. It’s not good for those undergrads who want to go straight to the field after undergrad. Besides that, I agree with all the other points.
