Ahhh, but if it’s a firefighter or policeman who’s due for the big fat bonus or pension.. NOPE! As you argued above, how else do you expect to attract the “top talent” in firefighting and police work if you’re not hooking them up with fat pensions?
And shouldn’t firefighters and police be compensated more for the risk they are taking in their jobs just as you have argued above for the executive?
Everything you’ve argued in favor of with regards to the executive also apply to firefighters and policemen, but I have a feeling that you don’t approve of them getting their fat pensions.
Executive with big fat taxpayer-funded payout = GOOD
Firefighter/Police with big fat taxpayer-funded payout = BAD
