Right. Gun control is one example. Gun control to an inner city mother of three is much different than gun control to a Texas rancher. But of course gun rights are one of the fundamental aspects of our federal founding documents, so there’s the rub.[/quote]
Afx: Except… Gun control laws vary differently from state to state (like NYC’s Sullivan Act, for instance) and things like waiting periods and background checks vary widely as well.
California is very different in approach from, say, Nevada or Arizona, as well as in substance, meaning you can acquire damn near anything in Nevada or Arizona, but not so in California.
