Aecetia: A remark you made about boycotting Brian really hit home, and made me think of a similar remark from Hippias to Socrates, when Hippias refused to debate him, saying, “You mock at others, questioning and examining everybody, and never willing to render an account yourself or to state an opinion about anything” (from Xenophon’s “Memorabilia”).
I’m reading this excellent dialogue involving eavesdropper, DJShakes, Jim Jones and yourself and I’m realizing what a horrific waste of time it is to debate an empty suit like Brian.
I also realized that I ignored my own admonition about not teaching pigs to sing (not to be confused with the Gadarene Swine Fallacy, which I think typifies Brian to a T).
So, I’m locking arms with you on this, Aecetia, and boycotting Brian in the name of vanquishing insipidity, vacuity and mendacity the world over. Cheers!
