About the multiunit, my nephew-in-law owns an apartment building, but it’s in a crappy area. I haven’t talked to him and I don’t know about the daily upkeep. I don’t know if he takes care of it himself, like one landlord I had a long time back, or if he hires a property management group. It sounds like a hassle to me.
With the professional field I’m in, I can go into business for myself, contract my services out. It’s a flexible, satisfying career which is why I chose it. The point being, I expect to be diversified with this profession, thereby maximizing my earnings. And until I get to where I want to be, I will be taking Rayburnes advice to get what is available to me.
Another thought, any of you ever owned a franchise business such as the “chick-fil-A” restaurants? What do you guys think about that OR even owning a nail shop. I had thought about something like that, but wonder if it would be a hassle and time consuming? Or would it be worth it?
