maybe that’s what I need; a bucket list.
right now it’s pretty thin:
400 lb deadlift (actually the deadline on that is 12/31/14). currently at 305
farmer’s walk 210 lb total down the hill to the mail box and back, without setting it down.
clean and press 150 same deadline.
I’d also like to obtain a 2 inch manila rope and be able to climb up and down it very quickly. Did you know rope climbing used to be an Olympic Event?
shoot. that’s about it. I need to flesh out the list a bit. Travel won’t make it though; I just want to stay home.
You missed the point, that is a list of goals. A bucket list are things you always wanted to do but were either afraid to do or afraid to admit you wanted to do. Think about the old folks home we will eventually be sitting in, think about the day room where we sit. Now think about your list and mine, you will probably go back to your room and cry if I we each accomplish our lists and I tell you mine. You don’t need to to do them all, you shouldn’t do any of those which are illegal, hurt anyone or break the trust you have with someone. But beyond that, it’s all in play. My next one is I am going to stay in some resort in Mexico and pay someone to give me a bunch of baby turtles to release into the sea so the damn birds and crabs can’t eat them on their way to the water. Am I defying the ecosystem, disturbing mother nature, whatever, I’m doing it. I’ve seen enough nature shows to get mad at the cameraman for not hitting that bird with a broom or something so the turtle can make it. You thought I was going to say that my next item was sexual, perhaps with many women at the same time, silly you, that got checked off long ago (and it’s overrated). If you just do the dead lift thing you are going to cry, cmon, you can beat my turtle story, I’ll keep the other stuff to myself to make it fair. At least go on a pub tour of London or have a guinness in Dublin. It’s easy, you can still win this game or make it a tie, I’ve gotten boring in my middle age so you can catch up.
