200K doesnt even seem like a particularly high income these days. There are so many dual income households around here that dwarf those numbers.
I do tons of short sales and rarely see anyone that doesnt have a household income above 100K if they are still working. I see actual tax returns and paychecks all time with incomes above 150K for 2 income households with rather pedestrian occupations. I’ve seen fireman and software guys making $150K alone. I am constantly surprised by what I see on peoples tax returns and these are the people who are struggling not the ones who are excelling.
