Jan 2007, it’s listed at $899k…I offered $700K and didn’t get so much as a counter. (Didn’t want one anyway, it was a clearly a lowball)
March 2007, price is now $799k. I again offer $700k, and again, no takers & no counter. At the time I was fine with it, as I could have afforded the house, but it would have been a stretch and I could see the market deteriorating faster and faster.
Then it went to $769k…then $749…
It now sits, at over a year DOM at….$699,900!
I can’t get over this feeling of relief that only a man who dodged a BIG bullet can know. All you Piggs will be happy to know that I have since become a loyal reader, and appreciate the wise advise that I get for free here every day.
P.S. bash if you must for throwing the offer at them in the first place, at least I have lived to fight another day…
I agree arraya, although it is horse property, and 2 lots, but still $100k high off the bat.
The agent has text messaged me at every price drop, including the latest to $699k, to re-submit at $680k, that they will take it. I politely say no thanks, then retreat to my rental to dance the polka.
