ParticipantI can’t give you any market specifics but I can tell you that you couldn’t have picked a stickier market to fall in love with. Like Maui, 99.9% of the world would also like to live there, but Maui is bigger and there isn’t a bridge to a major employment center. I know this is a den for bears but if you wait for Coronado to have a resonably priced SFR, prepare for heartbreak, Coronado has been in demand since christ was a corporal. My wish list includes the following: 1)win lottery 2) buy house in Coronado 3) Take over Playboy empire and assume Hef’s duties. I figure I have an equal cahance at any of the three.

ParticipantI agree with Temeculaguy. Coronado is an island (almost) unto itself. It is unique enough to probably escape the big crunch but on the positive side, the big price increases that have been occurring there will probably come to a halt.

Participanton the left nav bar of this site there is a search feature. You will get a lot of info if you do a search for “Coronado”.
Prices will drop there. Just be prepared to wait.

ParticipantI would like to do a thread like this that is comprised on different areas and what people think the prices will end up as.
I have a friend that put an offer on a fixer in PB with views of the ocean for 650. He thinks it’s a steal, since it’s right on foothill next to $1 mill. properties.
I’m not sure if he’s wrong or not, because it does have a yard and views in PB on foothill.
