    This is a quick video I found via the Countrywide foreclosures blog. Its called, “How not to bid.” It shows a common tactic auctioneers use to bump up a price.

    I forgot to mention, the commentator says that the practice taking bids from the wall is not illegal. Does anybody know if that is true?

    What happens if the person being suckered wises up? Does the last “wall” bid get canceled and the last “real” bid get accepted? Moral: always sit in the back.
