oooo..interesting. Any idea what the prices for those homes are? I hate how they say “starting from the low 400,000’s” And I somehow doubt they would let you use all of the $50,000 to lower the home price.

July 3, 2007 at 9:28 PM #63808lonestar2000ParticipantBrand new, 2100+ square foot houses have recently been discounted by $100,000 near where I live. I love the flyer…”new, lower prices extended for another weekend!” I’ve been getting the flyer every week for over a month now, I guess a $100,000 discount isn’t enough. π

About $120K off the smallest. That is a price drop, not incentives. The sales rep indicated they were still willing to deal….I bet! I’ve been getting direct mail junk from Beazer and Richmond both advertising special pricing and discounts.

July 3, 2007 at 10:55 PM #63824wantobuyParticipantI’m curious what prompted the builders to make such big price drops. Is it because they never sold any house in the projects? The houses at 4S ranch and Del Sur are still selling (though very slowly, and from time to time previously “sold” houses come back to the builders), maybe that’s why there have no big drops this year in 4S ranch and Del Sur?

July 3, 2007 at 11:19 PM #63828sdcellarParticipantThere have been significant drops in both 4S and Del Sur this year. Alcalas, for example, were around $800K at the beginning of the year, now they’ve been selling in the low 7s.
