I think a Democrat President will get blamed for it. President’s get far too much credit and/or blame for what happens in a generally cyclical economy. They are either blessed by good timing or cursed by bad timing.

June 11, 2007 at 10:15 AM #58388jnajeraParticipantOk, But my question is historicly democrats raise taxes, Do you think this will effect the housing market if one wins. Does anyone know of a chart that shows Housing Markets and Presidents, to get an idea?

Chart of National debt under Dems and GOP:

http://www.forbes.com/strategies/2004/07/21/cx_da_0721presidents.htmlJob gain/loss under various Presidents:
http://www.dailykos.net/images/want_jobs_big.gifI haven’t been able to find any housing charts. However, the jobs and stock market performance above may be a reasonable surrogate.

That chart was a way to get people to think that this was the worst economy since the Great Depression and to vote for Kerry. All lies, of course.
