Zillow’s zestimate is $655K. They paid $322K for it in 1999. Who cares if they have “documented $250K in upgrades?” Does a buyer have to reimburse them for their design decisions?!?

Anyone who would put in $250k in upgrades on a $750k home is just begging to get their clock cleaned on resale. $100k would have been too much.
April 9, 2007 at 10:49 AM #49567meadandaleParticipantClassic example of the Cultural Pathology alluded to in another post. Even if they put in $250k in upgrades, they are still trying to get almost $500k in profit out of it. Over 8 years, that’s a tidy $62500/yr. Who needs a job?
And, really, a 2100 sq ft house for a million? You can get a 3500 sq ft mcmansion for that price in a much nicer part of town.

Looks like someone scanned a flier and posted it as a web page. Geez, for a half million in profit, at least you could have spent a hundred bucks for a web developer to put a page together for you.

They dont care what the owner wants to put as a price and this is a clear case of a delusional seller who is not getting professional help. It’s been in the mls for about 1 year. Nothing to see there, move along………

My CPA certificate, in comparison, rots in the closet. I am now a proud Stepford wife who does lunch with the country-club ladies.

If this guy was your client a year ago when he first listed I bet he would have walked away with a lot more cash in hand than he ever will the way he is doing it because he is trying to save money. I wonder what percentage of listing agents are honest with their clients or do they have to allow the delusional to think what they want knowing the next agent will tell them what they want to hear. Isn’t there a fee to list on the MLS, why would anyone do it for free? BTW, living in a house that is for sale sucks, why would anyone want to do it for a year?
