I drive very gently and slowly. The transmission will be fine. I am the slowest guy anywhere. New Miata seem rather cheap.
I really would rather just live than fail at a gun suicide. I’ve always thought it’d be best to be on a raft far fr shore, tie a weight on you, shoot raft, shoot self.
Of course,. I could have a change of heart between the raft shooting and the suicide.
Dammit. Maybe shoot self off the golden gate bridge?
I think at the end of the day suicides just not for me.
New miatas are cheap. Softtop cheaper than hardtop. The other thing is, if you don’t care, you don’t need to get a manual transmission. Automatics are more reliable than manual in this generation. They don’t break.
Added bonus of miatas. Sorry, I can’t pick you up and take your friends… Only 2 seats…sorry
Also funner car than minis imho.
I like manual transmissions because they were cheaper on my 89 Honda. Also it’s kind of fun to have a sort of skill. One kid can’t drive stick, so it’d be unborrowable to him….
Forgot to mention… 2019+ miatas should not have a transmission problem for normal street driving.
The “ND2:>=2019” They updated the motor and added some software that reduces vibration and linkup and went to a dual mass flywheel. The transmission is the 5th revision. (mine was a V2).
ND2 motor was bumped up about 30hp, and the redline was raised to 7500 (think Honda S2000). So as a stock car, it’s not bad considering it’s 2400lbs. Fun high revving motor.
The only drawback is currently can’t add engine/motor mods, since they changed the ECU and most tuners haven’t cracked it yet. (maybe 1 tuner has)… But you don’t sound like you’ll be adding a turbo or supercharger on it.
If you do break the transmission out of warranty, they aren’t terribly expensive. With the mazda motorsports team member discount, they cost $1400 and Rocky Miatamotive in Chula Vista can install for about $600. Stealership try to charge $5000. lol…
Miata one of the most raced cars worldwide. Multiple cup car challenges..
