Remodeling a kitchen takes planning. I know, I just did one. It was not bueno. Lots of issues even with the material not matching, things not lining up. Didn’t help I went with a made in china granite and had an installer that didn’t bother to check the direction of the granite grain on the different pieces until after he already cut it.

Thankfully, it’s a rental, not something I have to look at everyday, not that it looks *that* bad. At least it was cheap.

My other contractor hasn’t called me back yet. I’ll let you know.

Mold guys are the biggest scam. A simple fiber optics camera with a small drilled hole and a mold test kit is all you really need. You pay a shitload of money to hire a dry out service that basically cuts a hole in the wall and runs a bunch of heaters with a blower fan on them.
