Really ? Why is it that you feel you must "own" anything ? Maybe re-evaluate your motivations for soundness of judgement. No insult intended here….Maybe your falling for the home ownership trap ?
Do you feel any less of a person if you dont own and make 300% more in payments to some bank ?Â
My point is that I would rather own a decent-priced home in another state than an overpriced one in California. You need not lecture me about ownership…I am currently renting and have been doing so for the better part of a decade. However, I would like to own a home someday. I don’t think that’s asking too much.
I know a guy that bought a 1500 sq ft house in rb/poway some 10 years ago for 250k and just recently sold for 700k and moved to a 4000 sq. ft place on 5 acres in Colorado springs in which he paid cash for.
I like California myself.. but I don’t need a 800k place to feel like I’m in Calfornia.. there are plenty of inexpensive places left if you don’t mind a little commute or can telecommute.
