It’s nice to be able to pick up a TV that’s a few generations old on Craigslist for $50, a non-connected coffee maker for $5, still-working appliances at the Habitat store, etc. Basically, it makes it a lot easier to be a cheap shit and recycle the leftovers of other people.
spd, I listened to you and I have gotten some nice finds on CL for my furnished rentals, even for my own place. For example I got a used granite island that I got cut down to fit existing dining table. I got some 55 and 60″ TVs. I once bought a whole Ikea Kitchen in LA. That saved me thousands, and I got a visit a cool loft.
Problem is that you need to a truck to go get stuff
I don’t tell anyone what I bought on CL because people think it’s for poor people and it’s shameful to buy used. I even got a fancy used toilet. How’s that for eek factor.
ebay has improved my ability to acquire ridiculously overpriced japanese denim for a small fraction of retail, slightly used.
thanks trump. u fat pig.
What does your wife think of used clothing?
