Here’s the odd thing. Looking at social media, there are a LOT of vocal female Trump supporters. Far more than would exist in a normal world. Their rationale appears to be “he’ll keep us safe from terror and crime”, “he’ll keep our kids from growing up around the Other.”

Don’t underestimate the desire for safety and the momma-bear instinct.
