Makes me sad. I went to the first one on Mission Gorge pretty regularly when it first opened, then the one in RB when I lived in Poway. It was one of kids’ favorites when we lived in CV. And I just went to a Sweet Tomatoes in Phoenix a few weeks ago. Seemed like a reasonably well run operation. What people like changes. Maybe we’re past the salad bar phase. When I mentioned it to my brother, he reminded me I lost a bit of money investing in a copy cat chain in the early 80’s.
