You can get a barebones unlimited plan from a MVNO for very cheap, like $20/mo. You don’t fit the tablet in your jeans pocket — one doesn’t need to be connected to the Intarwebz 24/7/365.

I barely use my phone for anything necessary other than calling and texting. For any work or interaction with the Internet, my small laptop is much more comfy.
